Assalamualaikum to all my young brothers & sisters in Islam. This message is especially for the young Muslim generation out there who loves drawing , painting and coloring but are always scolded by their parents not to draw faces as it is a Haraam in Islam.

We all should know that drawing faces,human beings,pictures of animals all these things are Haraam but objects which  do not have soul in it are permitted in Islam.

Reference :

Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) saying, “Every painter will go to Hell, and for every portrait he has made, there will be appointed one who will chastise him in the Hell.” Ibn `Abbas said: If you have to do it, draw pictures of trees and other inanimate things. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

This means if you draw pictures of living beings like animals or any human being then you will be thrown in Hell. But if you draw pictures of trees & other things which has no soul in them , then such drawings are allowed in Islam. Alhamdulillah!
